Last Minute Prep

Wow, that three weeks flew by!

Since that last post, we had an overnight retreat at the school. During that time we talked about many things, including serving, team unity, what to pack, fears, and more. Time in prayer, practicing skits, practicing some Spanish praise songs and sorting and packing gift items pretty much filled up those 18 hours. (Unfortunately, we didn't take any pictures except for this one of the ladies practicing "being in each others' space".)

(Mrs. Heys, Emily Christofferson, Mrs. ----------, --------------, Mrs. Gossack, Jessica Kneeland, Miss Lundskog, Jordan Nuss, Elizabeth Oswell, Janae Tormoehlen, Vikki Alvarado)

After rearranging some of the bin contents to distribute the weight more evenly, they have been numbered, the lids have been zip-tied on and they are ready to go. Each student will take check one as their checked luggage. These bins contain our ministry items and items for Project H.O.P.E. and some area pastors to use for ministry. (Books, Towels, sheets, pillows, soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, lotion, deodorants, nail polish, soccer balls, baseballs and bats, clothes, toys, hair accessories, crayons, clotheslines, clothes pins)

(These are the bins, and the bat bag, ready to go.)

In about twelve hours we will head for the airport (yes, that means 4:00 a.m.!) We will gather our group together, get checked in, then have a time of prayer.

Departure time is 6:00 a.m., with layovers in Minneapolis and Atlanta before heading for Managua where we expect to land about 8:40 p.m. (7:40 Mtn time).

Your prayer for our flights and for our hearts is SO appreciated. Please pray that we will be completely submitted to Jesus and have His heart of service for all that we are in contact with and each other.

We will post an update each evening about the day's activities, so make sure you check back here. If you'd like to receive an alert when we post, just sign up on the right side of this page.
